I am currently fully booked and only accepting IB Math AA SL and HL students for group online sessions.
A group can consist of 2 to 10 students, though the priority is always given to keeping the group size small so that individual care can be taken. Students are welcome to study together with their friends.

I have devised a method to assist students from the US or UK, as I don't regularly tutor them due to the significant time difference between those countries and India. However, for IB Math AA students may send me groups of 5 questions they are struggling with, and I will create a video explaining the solutions to those 5 questions and share the link with them. The process will require prepayment.

I teach Math, including compulsory and additional topics, to IB, IBDP Math AA SL/HL, IGCSE, Cambridge O-level, AS, and A-level (Pure Mathematics, Statistics 1, and Mechanics 1) students. I am available to students of Indian origin residing in India or abroad. I tutor students from grades 9 to 12, and I regularly communicate with parents to gather feedback. Parents can always reach out to me regarding their child's studies.

I provide detailed coverage of each chapter, with extra attention given to areas where students are weaker. Typically, I aim to keep my students ahead of their classmates by completing chapters before they are covered in their school classes. This enables students to develop a thorough understanding of every topic, empowering them to solve their class assignments independently. In case they encounter difficulties, rather than simply providing the answer, we work together to find the solution.

While the subject is taught in English, parents can request instruction in Bengali if preferred.

Fee details

    ₹1,300–2,200/hour (US$15.57–26.35/hour)

    ₹1300 is the minimum fee per hour for one-on-one online tutoring. The hourly pricing varies from board to board and is different for different classes.

    Group tutoring options are not only cost-effective but also yield fruitful results. Students participating in group sessions with three or more than three students will be billed on a monthly basis. There will be four to five hours of sessions every week. The fees should be paid in advance at the start of each month.

    For doubt clearing and final preparation sessions, commencing four to five months prior to the board examination, a higher rate will be applicable.

A magician!

I found Nilanjana on Teacheron when I was looking for a tutor for my daughter for IGSCE. She has been teaching my daughter for the past 10 months and has helped her improve her grades from an E to an A*. She worked and mentored my daughter through a difficult personal phase as well with extraordinary patience and dedication. Dedicated and excellent maths teacher

My daughter needed help with getting her maths fundamentals strong in grade 8. Mrs Nilanjana was recommended by a friend for online classes. I was sceptical about online classes but decided to try out for a few months. It’s been over a year with her and my daughter’s maths has not only improved but actually has started enjoying it as a subject. Mrs Nilanjana’s teaching style is commendable. She connects with the child, helps explain the concepts, gives enough practice problems and is dedicated and goal oriented. My daughter has become more confident with her maths ability and has achieved good grades in IB maths. We as a parent are very choosy, especially when our child is doing good academically. Time being limited, we were looking for a teacher online for Mathematics. Probably the best teacher who could be a strong support and guide.

A teacher who would have a personal touch even being virtual; have in-depth knowledge, modern approach, excellent listening skills, immense patience, humor to make things funny; is capable to map theoretical concepts with real-time applications; have experience to deal with children; full of positivity to motivate and encourage and at the same time a bit strict to exercise discipline during session, highly understanding, flexible and fully aware of the syllabus, topics with respect to various Educational Boards and competitive exams followed and practiced universally.

Mrs Nilanjana is an excellent teacher !

I came to teacheron on January 2019 desperately searching for a maths tutor for my 8th grade daughter. She was struggling in maths, scoring in her 50s during exams and her PLSC board exams ( IGCSE syllabus)were due in June. I searched for teachers and happened to message Mrs. Nilanjana Sanyal as I got attracted to the information I read. We started classes for my daughter with Mrs. Nilanjana Sanyal from January and my daughter immediately got comfortable as Mrs. Nilanjana was very friendly and kind. I could see a big motivation difference in my daughter towards her maths studies as she was really happy with such an affectionate teacher and her teaching methods and wanted to do her best. By the Grace of God and the excellent teaching method of Mrs. Nilanjana, from scoring 50 percent in maths, my daughter scored 95% in her plsc board exam!
