I am Dr. Ashok Kumar Kumaravel, a dedicated post-doctoral researcher at National Taiwan University with a robust academic foundation in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Ulsan, South Korea. My research transcends traditional boundaries within microbial biotechnology, focusing on the innovative utilization of agricultural waste for bacterial cellulose production and the development of sustainable bioremediation technologies. My work primarily involves the genetic engineering of microbial systems to enhance their utility in environmental and agricultural applications, which has led to the synthesis of biologically derived nanoparticles with significant industrial implications.

My PhD research pioneered the application of microbial cell surface display technology for the efficient bio-adsorption of heavy metals from contaminated environments. This work not only contributed to the field of environmental biotechnology but also led to the development of new methods for nanoparticle synthesis, which have potential applications ranging from wastewater treatment to anticancer therapies.
