My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student can succeed when learning is meaningful, engaging, and personalized.
I adopt an inquiry-based, inclusive teaching style that encourages students to explore, question, and connect concepts to real-life scenarios. My lessons follow the "I Do, We Do, You Do" structure, gradually allowing students to build confidence and independence in problem-solving. I often integrate visual-spatial tools, digital simulations, and real-world examples, especially in Chemistry, to help abstract ideas come alive. To support diverse learners, I scaffold lessons and focus on developing Approaches to Learning skills such as self-management, critical thinking, and reflection. I foster a classroom culture that values growth over comparison, where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities.
Over the years, my students have consistently achieved strong academic results, with many progressing from foundational understanding to high performance in Math and Chemistry exams. More importantly, they develop a lasting confidence in their ability to think critically, solve problems independently, and enjoy learning Math and Chemistry. My classroom is not only about grades but also about nurturing a growth mindset. I use ongoing formative assessments, regular feedback, and student goal-setting to ensure that progress is measurable, personal, and celebrated.
