I am Ashokumar who is an experienced music teacher, specialized in guitar, keyboard, and violin in both Western and Carnatic styles, with additional expertise in teaching Veena and Mandolin within the Carnatic tradition. With over 30 years of experience, I am the author of several acclaimed music books, including Keerthanamarutham, Keyboard Fingerstyle Method for Carnatic, and Harmonic Rhythm for Guitar and Keyboard.

I am honored to be a disciple within the Guru Parampara tradition, having learned from legendary musicians such as Chittoor Subramanian, Thiru BK Vishwanatha Sharma, and Thiru Nellai E. Shunmuganathan.

Additionally, I pursued my Western music studies under the guidance of the esteemed Mr. S. Chandramohan, author of the Keyboard Method Book.

I also prepare students for the London Trinity College Grade Exams, and many of them have earned prestigious awards and scholarships for their exceptional performances across a wide range of musical styles.

I believe that learning is a journey of self-discovery, and practice is the key to achieving mastery.
