Learning music is a process that requires clarity, patience, and consistent guidance. I teach students from complete beginners to advanced and professional musicians, helping them develop strong musical foundations and progress with confidence at every stage.

My teaching includes guitar, piano and keyboard, harmonium, ukulele, flute, singing, Hindustani classical music, Carnatic music, Western music, Bollywood and Indian film songs, and music theory including Western staff notation. Each lesson is planned according to the student’s age, current level, and musical goals. Some students learn music as a serious hobby, some prepare for performances or examinations, and some aim for professional work in music. The approach is adapted accordingly.

With more than 30 years of teaching experience and over 12 years of online teaching, I focus on correct technique, posture, pitch control, rhythm, ear training, and practical understanding of theory. I believe that music should be learned step by step, without shortcuts, so that students develop confidence and independence rather than memorising pieces mechanically.

Alongside teaching, I have worked professionally as a musician, composer, and music producer in Indian and international music industries. This practical experience helps me guide students realistically, especially those who wish to understand how music functions beyond the classroom.

I hold a Doctorate in World Music, and my academic background supports a balanced teaching style that combines discipline, creativity, and analytical understanding. Lessons are always kept clear, structured, and appropriate to the student’s level.

Online classes are conducted in English or Hindi. Students receive clear practice guidance and regular feedback so progress remains steady and measurable.
