Hailing from a rich musical lineage, Padmashree Srinivasan is Carnatic vocalist who was initiated into music at the age of five. Over the years, I have had the privilege of performing across India and am a B-High graded artist of All India Radio. Her musical journey has been shaped by learning from several esteemed gurus across the state, which has in turn influenced her teaching style—adapting to suit each student’s unique nature. Students attend classes regularly, and this commitment reflects the mutual respect and connection we share. She enjoys delving into the depth of the subject while teaching, and her classes include both practical training and theory, fostering a holistic understanding of Carnatic music.

Padmashree been awarded with 'Sangeetha Sri', 'Sangitha Ratna Mani', 'Yuva Kala Nipuna', 'Yuvashree Kala Bharathi' to name a few and have performed in many places across India and USA.

Inspiring Guru – Learning Music with Padmashree mam is an enjoyable and enriching experience

I am extremely fortunate and gifted to have Smt. Padmashree Srinivasan mam as my guru. She is inspiring, kind and brilliant. She quickly tailors her teaching techniques to best suit the student and seamlessly guides us to achieve our best in the learning process. She instils lot of confidence and consistently maintains a relaxed atmosphere in all her classes. This makes learning music an enjoyable experience. Padmashree mam is down to earth and professional. She has performed various concerts and it’s very inspiring and a divine experience to attend her vivid performances. She is an All India Radio graded artist. It’s a great privilege to be her sishya. I enjoy each and every class with Padmashree mam. Every time I eagerly look forward to my classes with prior dedicated practice. I can feel myself getting better and moving ahead with mam’s teaching. This is purely due to her positive approach, patience and motivation. Mam also gives equal importance to theory and the under lying concepts in our music lessons. I thoroughly love attending my classes with Padmashree mam and very highly recommend her to anyone who is keen and eager to get well trained in a kind professional atmosphere from a truly brilliant and inspiring artist. I am a great fan of Padmashree mam’s teaching skills and believe that her approach is always in the best interest of the students.

Great performer and teacher

Padmashree has had training from many gurus and thus has adapted different skill sets and methodology for teaching. As a teacher she's very skillful in teaching her students patiently and at the pace they find it easy to learn.
I have personal experience with her teaching methods and she gives importance to revising lessons repeatedly, teaching theory of music alongside practical lessons.
She is a committed teacher and employs traditional methods/padantharam also making it interesting for students.

Best teacher!!

I wanted to resume my Carnatic music lessons & found an excellent teacher in Smt. Padmashree. Sincere and very patient teaching with indepth explanation. She is a professional artiste , graded by ALL INDIA RADIO, which is prestigious.
I recommend Smt. Padmashree to anyone who is looking for indepth carnatic music lessons
