I am working as a special education teacher and a shadow teacher.I have over 5 years of experience as a special educator (internationally 2 years) specially children with autism, speech delay, behavior problems, sensory issues, slow learners and hyperactive children.I have unique and attractive teaching methods and activity base strategies.I will follow government school syllabus in Sri Lanka,the Cambridge Curriculum, the Edexcel Curriculum for primary students and Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for special needs children.

Education qualifications:
BA Psychology (1st class special degree) from university of Gujarat, India.
Higher Diploma in Special Needs Education, NIE Sri Lanka.
Diploma in Counseling

What I do as a special educator:
1.Design and implement personalised learning programs based on careful observation of children’s knowledge and understanding,
2.Prepare and oversee play and educational materials, ensuring they are engaging and age-appropriate,
3.Maintain a safe, clean and inviting environment conducive to learning and exploration,
4.Observe, assess and document children’s progress and development, maintaining close communication with parents and specialists,
5.Support the inclusion and active participation of children with additional needs in all activities,
6.Administer basic first aid when necessary during emergencies,
7.Assist children with daily routines and reinforce concepts of health and safety, and
8.Guide and foster positive social interactions among children, encouraging cooperation and mutual respect.
