Hello! I am Priyanka Mitra, UGC NET qualified former lecturer of college and government universities, M.Phil. in English Literature, M.A. and B.A. in English Literature, B.Ed., and GATEHOUSE AWARDS TEFL Certified ESL Instructor.

With an extensive experience of more than 12 years I have honed my skills in delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons in both English Language and Literature (graduate and post-graduate levels), Business English and English Communication skills which include reading, writing, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc. Throughout my career, l had the honour and privilege to teach in a government college (affiliated to Calcutta University), Rabindra Bharati University and Netaji Shubhas Open University. l teach B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) and M.A. (Master of Arts) English literature courses of Calcutta University, Rabindra Bharati University, IGNOU and Netaji Shubhas Open University. I also assist students appearing in WBCS for English literature optional paper and English mains exams. Additionally, being a GATEHOUSE AWARDS TEFL certified ESL instructor, currently I am associated with a U.S.-based institution where I conduct lessons on EFL and ESL courses and Business English through online mode for the past four years.

My teaching methods are diverse and student-centered, incorporating discussion, dialogue, debate, critical analysis of texts, and audio-visual representations. I always consider students' adaptability levels and diverse cultural backgrounds, curating lesson plans to cater to individual learners' needs. My passion for imparting knowledge in a friendly and interactive atmosphere ensures that learners achieve their academic or professional objectives.

Fee details

    ₹300–500/hour (US$3.16–5.26/hour)

    For B.A., M.A. (English literature) and WBCS (English) fees will be on monthly basis and students in Kolkata can travel to my place. For English communication skills fees will be on per hour basis.

Mam Priyanka Mitra is a Godsend for me!

Respected Priyanka Mitra Mam is really a very enthusiastic and energetic trainer and she has plethora of qualities the best English teacher must command like patience, tenacity,adaptability, openness, experience and what not. She listens to the needs of her students and come up with an effective plans. I feel at home with her.She has excellent English pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar skills to enthuse students and help them learn. Thanks GOD,I have got the expertise to sort out my all problems. In just barely one week's session with her, my spoken English has reached next level! I'm more than 100% sure within no time I shall be as fluent in English as respected Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Mahuwa Moitra!

Her technique of teaching is so good and easy to understand to all.
She has dept in English literature which is helpful for us..
Above all, Priyanka Ma'am is a nice human being.

I am so glad to have a tutor like her for MA in English course.
