I have been an Assistant Professor in Electronics & Communication in Techno India Salt Lake for the last ten years. I also head Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell, and Convener-IIC Techno India University since 2019. My recent research areas includes IoT based real time embedded system design for various applications ranging from healthcare, consumer, agriculture, community service, education etc.

I did my PG from IIEST, Shibpur in the Digital System and Instruments where I carried out a VLSI design based project work named, "Design of FPGA Based an impediometric Biosensor for Embedded Application" under the guidance of Prof(Dr.) Chiroshree Roychowdhury. This project got me notified in the research domain and helped me to publish two conference and journal publications subsequently. After that I joined Wipro VLSI as FPGA application developer and continued for almost one year.

In 2009-10 I was appointed as Lecturer in the department of ECE at TMSL, where I was promoted to Assistant professor in the next year. I had taught many subjects starting from VLSI Design, DSP, Digital & Analog Circuit, Microprocessor & Micro-controllers and corresponding laboratories in B.Tech and Processor Architecture in M.Tech courses. I had been the final year technical project and placement co-coordinator of undergraduate students since 2014. I had worked and guided various mini and large projects of undergraduate and postgraduate students since 2015. As a part of our Techno India's technical Robotics club Geekonix, I was working as a trainer and mentor in Autonomous Robotics Workshops held at TMSL. I have been an active member in Research & Development & entrepreneurship Cell of TMSL since 2016.

In the recent years I have mentored and actively supported plenty of interdisciplinary students of TMSL to implement IoT based different solution which fetched innumerable accolades and placements as well in the national level starting from TCS Enginix(2014 and 2017 winner, 2018 finalist, 2019 semi-finalist), Texas Instruments Innovation Design Contest(2017 and 2018 semi-finalist) and Deloitte TechUtsab(2019 Winner and 2018 finalist). I have worked with IandWe,( a start-up company doing extensively good in organizing finishing school programs and training activities to get students ready for industry standard as well) in various IoT based projects.

Experience

  • Senior Research Analyst (May, 2020Apr, 2021) at MeFy Care
Working on developing & designing a portable noninvasive clinical sugar and blood analyzer that
improves efficiency by saving through fast, easy and painless accurate blood sugar analysis. It is
based on spectroscopy, a measurement technique that examines the properties of a material by
measuring how the material interacts with light at different wavelengths. Here, it is performed
using a device called DLP NIR spectrometer, which is capable of giving fast & accurate results
    non- invasively.

    ● Working on a proposed wearable may consist of: a wristband (fitness band) the OBPM algorithms,
and a smartphone/cloud connection. The band will integrate the optical module along with the
micro- controller (STM/Nordic) and BLE module with coin cell, enabling the measurement of
reflection PPG signals. Based on proprietary know-how, the sensor will allow the assessment of
the pulsation of arterioles at different skin depths. The embedded OBPM algorithms will process
arterial pulsation information. The smartphone/cloud connection will aggregate physiological
information from the band. A health application will serve as the day-to-day interface for users and
patients. The cloud infrastructure will also allow on-demand access to blood pressure records for
users, patients, and healthcare professionals, providing detailed feedback on a person’s
cardiovascular health trends. This system can be used to monitor HR, SpO2, and BP.

    ● Working on an automatic medication management system and passive remote monitoring to enable
independent living of healthcare patients with a smart medicine box concept.
