I am a highly experienced teacher with more than 20 years of expertise in teaching Business Studies and Commerce for O/L students, specializing in the Cambridge, Edexcel, and AQA curricula at a leading international school in Colombo. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of international examination standards and curriculum requirements, enabling me to prepare students effectively for academic success.

In addition to teaching, I am experienced in working closely with examination bodies and have served as an exam invigilator with extensive experience in preparing, assessing, and marking examination papers. I also serve as the Subject Head for Business and Commerce, where I am responsible for developing lesson plans, preparing schemes of work, and ensuring high academic standards within the department.

My teaching style is student-centered, interactive, and strongly exam-focused. I aim to make lessons engaging and enjoyable while building a genuine interest in the subject. I simplify complex business concepts using practical, real-life examples, encourage active discussions, and provide extensive practice through revision questions, case studies, and past papers. I also adapt my teaching methods to suit each student’s individual learning pace and style, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Over the years, I have guided many students to achieve outstanding examination results. My goal is always to give my very best to my students while motivating and supporting them to bring out the best in themselves academically and personally.
