I am a full time lecturer at Kenyatta University, School of Pure and Applied Sciences. I hold a PhD degree (UWC), Master’s degree in Chemistry (MSc, UWC), a Bachelor of education science (B. Ed, KU) and a diploma in Education from Moi teachers college Kenya. My doctorate degree is from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Chemistry department, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. My speciality in research is in the area of Natural Organic Chemistry, specifically on the Phytochemistry of medicinal plants and algae. Moreover, besides research work, I assist students with research topic selection; editing and evaluate written projects. For the undergraduates and honors classes, I teach biochemistry related units and consequently prepare and grade examinations.

I have always provided mentorship and guidance on research skills, tutoring on Academic Literacy and encouraging a high degree of student involvement through presentation of relevant issues and interactive styles. Furthermore, I have been teaching general chemistry for pharmacy and education students at respective levels. I have all the ability to build cohesive, goal-oriented teams and strong coalitions that achieve positive results in complex circumstances.

On a personal flair, I am social in and outside of the work environment and accommodative of fellow peers with undoubted pleasant naturalness. I am able to give my full potential in tutoring and also learn within a supportive environment for the application of skills and knowledge for the benefit of human development.
