Let's embark on your journey to Chemistry success together!
Beyond fostering a love for Chemistry (IB & IGCSE), I'm committed to guiding students through every step of their academic journey. My online platform offers not only engaging lessons and effective learning strategies (including mnemonics and shortcuts) but also expert mentorship for the IB Chemistry Internal Assessment and Extended Essay. I empower students to develop strong research skills, produce high-quality work, and achieve success in their IB studies.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme places significant emphasis on the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course. This core element of the curriculum requires all students to engage in critical reflection on the nature of knowledge and the process of knowing. TOK encourages students to think deeply about the knowledge and experiences they have acquired both within and outside the classroom, prompting them to evaluate the foundations of their knowledge and develop their own perspectives through the critical examination of evidence and arguments. Given the demanding nature of TOK, which involves grappling with complex philosophical concepts and producing substantial assessment pieces such as an essay and an exhibition, there is a growing need for supplementary educational resources to support students in this area. The successful completion of both the exhibition and the essay is a mandatory requirement for earning the IB Diploma. The perceived difficulty and the significant contribution of TOK to the final IB grade often motivate students and parents to seek external guidance to enhance understanding and improve performance. Furthermore, the subjective nature of TOK assessment, where marking can vary based on the examiner, can create anxiety among students, making the prospect of structured, expert-led paid classes particularly appealing.
