Hey there,

I’m Excel, I believe that mathematics is not difficult, it’s only depend on how you’re taught. Here’s why: All my life, I’ve come across people who believe that mathematics is difficult because the person who introduced mathematics to them wasn’t able to break it down into simpler concepts for them to understand.

I believe that mathematics is related to our everyday life so whenever I teach mathematics I relate it to things you can see such that it becomes easy for you to understand. Also, I believe there’s no one-way method when it comes to teaching mathematics so I adapt my teaching methodology based on my students personality.

I’ve had 7+ years experience teaching mathematics and I’ve watched my students go from being a novice to being an expert in mathematics, from being unsure to being confident in their ability to solve mathematics problems. Over the years, I’ve had a 95+% conversion rate when it comes to teaching mathematics.

  • Mathematics Tutor (Jan, 2023–Present) at Redeemer’s University Mathematics and Statistics Association, Ede, Nigeria
    I conducted tutorials for undergraduates who do not understand the lessons the lecturers taught in class.
    I broke down the lessons into simpler concepts and replayed them to our everyday life.
    I also provided practical examples and gave room for open communication.
  • Mathematics Tutor (Feb, 2022–Sep, 2022) at Joint heirs, Ibadan, Nigeria
    I taught the primary six students and prepared them for their common entrance examination. I had a 100% conversion rate as they all passed and were all admitted to the secondary school of their choice.
    I also taught the SS3 students and prepared them for their JAMB and WAEC examination (known as UTME and WASSCE respectively). I had a 85% conversion rate.
  • Mathematics Teacher (Jul, 2017–Dec, 2021) at Mercy and Grace, Abeokuta, Nigeria
    I taught primary and secondary school students mathematics. I helped them advanced from being a notice to representing the school in mathematics competition by breaking down mathematics into simpler concepts that they can easily understand.
    I had a 90% success rate and was rated one of the best teachers of the year.
