Namaskaram,

I am Srividhya Srinivasan, a music teacher from Srirangam, blessed to have spent my life immersed in the world of Carnatic music. I would like to share the path I have traversed in my musical journey.

My journey began with Mrs. Mythili Jagannathan, from whom I learned the basics of Carnatic music for 4 years. I then advanced under the guidance of Mrs. Jayalakshmi, who shaped my musical understanding for the next 5 years.

A turning point in my life was my training under the esteemed Sri T.V. Ramanuja Chariyalu. For over 19 years, he mentored me with great dedication, helping me master the nuances of music, raga bhavam (emotion), manodharma (improvisation), and raga setting techniques. His teachings deeply influenced my musical expression and creativity.

I have over 35 years of experience in Carnatic music and have completed my academic qualifications in B.Com., M.A., and M.Phil. in Music.

I am also a graded artist (B High) of All India Radio, and have been performing devotional songs on AIR since 1986, a journey I hold very close to my heart.

Currently, I serve as a music teacher at Town Hall Girls Higher Secondary School, Trichy, where I have been teaching for the past 13 years. In parallel, I conduct online and offline classes under the banner "Melakartha Music Class".

Alongside Carnatic music, I also teach Devaram, Thiruppugazh, Bhajans and Divya Prabandham. I have had the honour of providing vocal support in over 200 Bharatanatyam live concerts.

With the blessings of my gurus and the divine grace, I continue this journey with commitment, passion, and devotion to the sacred art of music.
