I come from a medical education background and completed MBBS coursework till 4th year at Saint Petersburg State University, which gave me a strong foundation in Biology, Physiology, and Human Health Sciences. Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved in Biology teaching, concept building, and student mentoring for NEET as well as international curricula such as IGCSE, AS/A Levels, AP Biology, and IB.

My teaching philosophy is simple – students should understand Biology visually and logically rather than rely purely on memorization. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable explanations using diagrams, clinical correlations, animations, storytelling, and interactive learning techniques.

Over time, I’ve worked with students from different academic backgrounds and learning levels, helping them improve conceptual clarity, confidence, and exam performance. I especially enjoy mentoring students who feel Biology is difficult or overwhelming and helping them gradually develop genuine interest in the subject.

Along with classroom teaching, I’m also passionate about educational innovation, AI driven learning, visual education, and gamified teaching methods using 3D models and interactive explanations.

    I am currently teaching an Indian female student who is preparing for the NEET entrance exam, which is for securing a medical seat in India. The student is highly satisfied with my teaching and wishes to continue throughout the year until she successfully clears the entrance. She diligently follows my plans and techniques, and her performance is outstanding. I am confident that she will achieve her goals. The timings are flexible, and we connect for at least 3 classes a week, each lasting 1 to 3 hours, depending on the subject. I explain concepts with a deep focus on logic, enabling her to grasp the underlying principles instead of just memorizing information. I will continue to update on her progress and experience.
  • Home tutor (Feb, 2023–Jun, 2023) at Home Tuitions at Mumbai
    I successfully taught a student for his 8th grade in the Maharashtra board curriculum. The student resides in Andheri, DN Nagar, Mumbai. My teaching approach involved a mix of in-person sessions and online classes. Despite having a previous home tutor, the student had faced difficulties and failed his exams before seeking my help. I managed to guide him to pass his final semester in all subjects, achieving a score of 65%. While this score might appear modest, it's noteworthy considering his weak foundational skills. He struggled with spelling and grammar, often making errors in his answers.

    Given the limited time available, my primary focus was to ensure he passed his semesters. I didn't have sufficient time to build his basics from scratch. Nevertheless, the feedback was positive, and the parents expressed satisfaction with both my teaching approach and demeanor. Originally contemplating a repeat of the 8th grade, the parents now find it unnecessary, and I'm glad to have saved his academic year :)
    I maintain contact with the parents, who continue to seek my advice for his educational decisions.

  • Host and Case presenter (May, 2022–Present) at Medical Discussion Panel
    I run a meeting called Medical Discussion Panel where I bring many different medical cases to discuss with colleagues and juniors in order to enlighten them about various modalities of diagnosis, differentials and treatments. I ask people doubts, I respond to their doubts, overall it's a very interactive, interesting and engaging session. It suits the phrase "Fun Learning". I've been doing it more than a year now, and it never loses its magic.

Very good experience.

Omkar is a patient and passionate teacher who helps the students understand concepts in depth. His usage of images and detailed drawings as well as his modus operandi of revising concepts to retain the memory of the student is commendable. He has in-depth knowledge about multiple topics and solves doubts with expertise. His willingness to cooperate with the needs of the students makes him an easy teacher to work with. His attitude with the student is kind and understanding as well. Omkar is certainly a prodigious teacher.
