First I give the student assessment to establish their strengths and weaknesses,then I asked the student to list areas of difficulty that they need help with
then we come up with a plan to cover the sections, do continuous assessment on the areas to see if they were well understood, if there are still gaps, the topic will be reviewed again and the student must elaborate why they still find it challenging.
Short notes are given during the sessions and student will be advised to take them as this will help with personal revisions
Also I like to engage the parents and give progress report when needed by the parents
