Starting my MSc Education at Oxford University in October 2023, I mostly teach Mathematics and Economics. I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from New York University, where I was awarded a full scholarship.
In high school, I was also awarded a prestigious international ASSIST scholarship ($70.000) that allowed me to spend one academic year at one of the top all-girls boarding schools in the US – The Madeira School. Upon returning to my native Lithuania, I graduated from the IBDP in May 2019, achieving a final score of 44 points. The same year, I received National Academic Honors Award from the Prime Minister of Lithuania.
For the past years, I has been working as an educator and exploring my interests as a social scientist. I have been teaching students from various academic curriculums, most notably the IBDP. I have worked with over 40 students and completed 1200+ hours of tutoring.
Having lived in Lithuania, the US, and the UAE, I rely on my international experience while tutoring. Given that students enjoy different learning techniques, I believe that an open dialogue and honest feedback between a student and a tutor is crucial in reassuring student’s progress. I structure my tutoring sessions in a balanced way between theory and practice, thus making sure that learning is effective and interesting.
I am also a fan of sports, debating, and traveling. I have spent over 15 years on a tennis court and competed in various international tournaments.
