I strongly believe that every human being with a brain, as created by God, is fully capable of understanding a concept just like the rest. In a class setting, some learners will grasp a concept in a split-second while others might need to revise after classes to understand the same concept. I do not regard the latter as dumb, rather able to understand after revising. Not forgetting that learners interact with and understand information differently. Some will learn when told (verbal), others will need to see (visual), while others might require hands-on interaction (practical).
For instance, I recall working with a student who struggled with reading comprehension. By incorporating visual aids and breaking down complex texts into smaller, manageable chunks, we were able to improve their understanding and confidence. This experience reinforced my belief that every learner can succeed with the right approach.
By taking the time to understand each learner's unique needs and learning style, I've seen significant improvements in their academic performance and overall confidence.
For example, my current client is a 10 year old, whose family hired me as an ESL tutor and later retained me as his special needs tutor. He was diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD, and BILD. Working with him closely for almost 3 years now, I have seen lots of improvements and possibilities for him. Once he was a learner struggling in school, and later showed a marked increase in understanding and test scores after we implemented a personalized learning plan. This approach not only helps learners achieve academic success but also fosters a growth mindset and a love for learning. I am confident that any learner, in the right hands, can and will understand.
I strongly assert once again, no learner is dumb. They only understand at a different rate and through different means. I hope you can consider my approach and accord me the opportunity to be the tutor for the job.

English as a Second Language. Basically for learners coming from countries where English isn’t taught or spoken, and yet it’s required for their new location or assignment. From experience, normally a learner under my instruction will require 6 months of learning, attending class for only 3 days each week and 2 hours during each of those days.
