No reviews yet
I am a creative and qualified teacher who loves to teach English and literature. I have been teaching for over 1 year at Kenya High School, one of the best performing national schools in Kenya and many other schools in Kenya. I have helped many students improve their language and literary skills and develop their appreciation for diverse texts and cultures. I use a variety of teaching methods to make my lessons engaging, challenging, and enjoyable, such as group discussions, role plays, creative writing, and multimedia projects. I believe that English and literature are essential subjects that can help students communicate effectively, think critically, and express themselves creatively.
In my lessons, I foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where students can feel comfortable to share their opinions and ideas. I also provide individualized support and feedback to help students overcome their difficulties and enhance their strengths. I adapt my lessons to the curriculum standards and the learning needs and interests of each student. I also use various assessment tools to measure and report student progress.
Some of the achievements of my past students include:
1.Scoring an average of 90% in the national English exam, which is the highest among all schools in Kenya 2. Winning the national literature festival with a brilliant performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth 3. Publishing a collection of poems and short stories in a reputable literary magazine 4. Participating in an exchange program with a school in the UK and experiencing different cultures and perspectives
I am always eager to learn new things and improve my teaching practice. I regularly attend professional development courses and workshops to keep up with the latest research and innovations in English and literature. I also collaborate with other teachers and experts to exchange ideas and share best practices.
I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share my passion for English and literature with my students. I am looking for a teaching position where I can continue to grow as a teacher and help my students achieve their aspirations. I look forward to hearing from you soon
