I am a passionate and committed special education teacher. Over the years I have worked with kids from Nigeria and other countries. I am very time-conscious and don't like to keep my clients waiting. With patience and consistency, I have recorded great success and seen kids with different conditions improve and achieve set milestones and are now living a normal life. My sessions are very engaging with lots of fun activities (of course, they are all hands-on tasks) that keep the client focused and interested.
Every six weeks I have meetings with the client's parent(s) and other caregivers as a follow-up on the client's progress. At the initial stage, we use the assessment report from the parents to create an intervention program for the client, highlighting both the areas of strength and weakness. after which we set achievable goals that guide our therapy process.
I also give counseling to parents who are overwhelmed by their kid's behavior/development process.
I have a consistent follow-up style that monitors and encourages parents to continue with our therapy program at home when the session is not on. this fosters consistency and of course, helps us achieve each set milestone.
