I am deeply passionate about the integration of welding and additive manufacturing, particularly in advancing high-performance materials. My PhD research, titled "Studies of fusion welding of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) for automobile applications," involved developing methodologies to improve AHSS weld quality and mechanical performance. Through this work, I gained expertise in various welding techniques such as laser beam, TIG, MIG, and resistance spot welding, along with hands-on experience in material characterization using techniques like SEM, XRD, and EBSD.
In addition to my focus on welding, I have developed a strong interest in additive manufacturing. I believe this innovative approach holds significant potential for fabricating advanced materials, and my experience in process optimization and understanding the relationship between processing parameters, microstructure, and mechanical properties is highly transferable. I am particularly eager to explore how additive manufacturing can complement traditional welding processes to create next-generation materials for industries like automotive and aerospace.
Academically, I am committed to contributing to the development of new knowledge in my field, and I find great fulfillment in teaching and mentoring students. I am excited by the opportunity to contribute to your research and academic initiatives in this evolving field. I am confident that my technical skills, coupled with my enthusiasm for learning and teaching, will allow me to make valuable contributions to your ongoing projects.
