Try to associate the contents with what student knows. If basics are clear, understanding becomes easy. Eg. If 12th differential is to be taught, student must know well limits. For limits, functions, dispersal, domain and sets. I try to brush up all mandatory concepts and advise him to practise after class. In engineering signals and system is based on Laplace Transform. You will crack SS if you understood LT. I don't teach any subject. After 5 years, child can not be taught. It learns on its own. You have to just push him. I ask questions and force him to use mind, which he is lazy about. All students are bright. They are either lazy for learning or society has filled in his mind, he is not capable of. This mental block is to be removed and a little bit of guidance. Just ask questions and make him think. Rest he will do with enjoyment and pay you and bless you.
