After my specialization in Fine Arts, I found Sanskrit,the mother of all language so appealing, despite not knowing the fundamentals of it, I started off with small stanza of Stotras (hymn of praise in Sanskrit sung or chanted with devotion ) considering it as a great tool for being meditative at first. Seeing noticable positive changes my eagerness to learn shlokas (with meaning) from Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta and other Hindu Scriptures rekindled.
Months passed by.I started traveling to pilgrimages and with the Grace of God,I endeavoured to learn pronouncing,reading writing sanskrit shlokas, mantras randomly. Especially the writing started on the auspicious day of KalBhairav Jayanti at Kashi, when I felt an urge to chant KalaBhairava Ashtakam and learn it by heart. There was no book, with the help of phone and internet I wrote it down in my diary and started chanting. All the pilgrimage places I traveled, I came in touch of learned priest communities and few saints .Their teachings, their daily rituals in temple along with pure sanskrit utterance of Vedas encouraged and enriched me with practical skills. Thus my journey of learning a new language began. And as it is an endless path,the journey will continue.
I am here to provide guidance to persons learning the same in an unconventional way.
I don't see them as students, rather co-learners following the same trail.
I am interested in helping them learning shlokas from Gita especially. And one thing we must remember, experientially knowing Gita is something different. Because it needs the receptivity to Grace of God and Gurus.
I can help you in chanting shlokas,knowing the general meaning of it, sharing good resources,have a good understanding of the each chapter ( according to learner's individual intellectual capacities).
