I am Innocent Kufre, a TEFL-certified instructor with a passion for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). With 20 years of experience under my belt, I've learned a lot about helping students connect with English. I hold a Master’s and a bachelor’s in education, plus a National Certificate in ESL, so I’m well-equipped to teach whichever aspect of English at any level and to learners for whatever reason. I teach conversational and business English. I also run preparation courses for tests such as IELTS, CELPIP, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, and TOEIC.
I create my curriculum based on the specific language needs of my learners, and I’m pleased to share that 89 per cent have achieved their language goals. For instance, I taught 90 Malagasy learners using the "Wings of Change" programme, and about 70 per cent have found employment in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Currently, I’m working with 85 students through the same platform.
Interestingly, some of them started with little ability to construct sentences in English, but now 90 per cent have developed the skills needed for effective communication. I also want to mention that the organisation has given me the freedom to design the curriculum for these learners, and the results have been quite rewarding.
