Hello! My name is Halima Mubashshira Shayeri, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at the Academy of Art University. I have a diverse academic background with prior experience in fields like science and business, which gives me a broad, adaptable perspective when it comes to teaching.
As a tutor, my goal is not just to help students understand a subject, but to help them enjoy it. I focus on making concepts clear, engaging, and relevant—especially for students who feel overwhelmed or disconnected from the topic. My teaching style is empathetic and supportive, yet structured. I start by identifying a student’s learning style (visual, auditory, or hands-on) and then tailor my lessons accordingly using real-life examples, diagrams, and frequent check-ins to ensure the pace feels right.
In math, for example, I break down complex ideas into step-by-step visuals and offer multiple strategies for solving problems, helping students build confidence and independence. In subjects like English or humanities, I focus on clarity of thought, structure, and encouraging creative thinking.
Many of my past students have improved their grades significantly and, more importantly, developed a new-found interest in the subject. I strongly believe in creating a friendly, judgment-free environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
