Hi, I’m Joseph – a passionate AI and Data Science educator with hands-on industry experience.

Over the past two years, I’ve helped learners and professionals build real-world skills in Python programming, data analytics, machine learning, and MLOps. I'm the founder of Marketshade Technology Solutions – where I lead the development of AI-powered software tools, including an e-commerce platform that leverages machine learning for recommendations.

As a tutor, I’ve taught and mentored dozens of students — from absolute beginners to career switchers — through both online and in-person sessions. My teaching blends theory with practical projects: whether it’s building dashboards in Power BI, training a machine learning model, or deploying scalable APIs using Django, React, and Docker, I guide my students step-by-step.

If you're looking to:

Understand Python and Data Science from the ground up

Learn how to build and deploy your own AI-powered applications

Prepare for roles in data analytics, BI, or software engineering

Or just get unstuck on a project you’re working on —

I'm here to help.

Let’s make learning practical, fun, and directly applicable to your career goals.

Experience

  • Founder & CEO; MLOPs Engineer (Sep, 2024Present) at Marketshade Technology Solutions LTD
At my firm, I wear multiple hats — I’m both the Founder & CEO, as well as the lead MLOps engineer. On the leadership side, I oversee day-to-day operations, drive strategy, and make sure we stay aligned with our mission and goals.

On the technical side, I built our core Django + React application from the ground up. I also manage the end-to-end MLOps workflow — from model integration and deployment to performance monitoring and scaling. It’s a hands-on role where I balance both vision and execution, ensuring the business runs smoothly while also staying deeply involved in the tech that powers it.
  • Business Intelligence Developer (Jan, 2024Apr, 2025) at Techsavanna Technology, Nairobi
As a BI Developer, my first responsibility was to clean and prepare raw datasets to ensure the data was accurate, complete, and ready for analysis. I then worked on designing and building complex data schemas that could support meaningful insights.

Using these structures, I developed interactive Power BI dashboards tailored to the client’s needs. I also handled the actual data analysis—turning numbers into insights that helped the client make informed decisions. Lastly, I streamlined the dashboards to update in real-time, ensuring the reports stayed relevant and reflected current performance at a glance.
  • Lead Tutor, Data Science (Oct, 2023Apr, 2025) at Techsavanna Software Institute
At this job, I was responsible for designing class timetables and developing course outlines that matched industry needs. I did a lot of research, especially on topics in Data Science, to make sure the content I delivered was both relevant and engaging. I handled both online and physical classes, breaking down complex concepts for students at different levels.

I also worked closely with other tutors — sometimes helping them prep or co-teach certain sessions. Beyond teaching, I gave progress reports and shared feedback with the team to help improve the learning experience.
  • Trade Development Representative (Apr, 2023Nov, 2023) at Jamii Telecommunications Limited
At JTL, I worked as a Trade Development Representative where my main role was to support and coordinate our SIM card sales agents on the ground. I acted as the link between the company and the field teams, ensuring they had everything they needed — from marketing materials like placards and posters to the actual SIM cards and other resources.

I also helped communicate updates from the company, gathered feedback from the field, and made sure our brand was well-represented at the point of sale. It was a hands-on role that required strong communication and a good sense of what was happening both in the market and within the company.
