Hello there! My name is Ikoro, and I'm an Accounting tutor with over fifteen years of experience teaching in secondary and tertiary institutions of learning.

I hold a BSc in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Ibadan, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University. I’m also currently pursuing certification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

With over fifteen years of teaching experience, I’ve worked in both secondary schools and higher education institutions, helping students master Accounting concepts and improve their academic performance.

My teaching approach is both interactive and practical. I use visual teaching aids and real-life examples to simplify abstract Accounting concepts, whilst my lessons on their own part are structured - with each lesson beginning with a recap of the previous topic, before the introduction of the new material.

I involve myself in an active engagement of the class, by asking questions throughout the class to check the students' assimilation and understanding, and to encourage participation. I also reinforce all that which has been learnt through practice and revision. Homework and assignments are therefore tools that I use to reinforce learning and to track progress.

I’m passionate about education and committed to helping my students succeed—not just in examinations, but in truly understanding the “why” behind Accounting principles.

    ₦10,000–20,000/hour (US$7.29–14.58/hour)

    My charges vary based on whether the teaching will be online or in person. If online, it'll be then higher.
