Hello! I am Oscar Hanson, a new MCAT Tutor for the biological & biochemical foundations of living systems (BB) and the chemical and physical foundations of living systems (CP). My MCAT score for test date 5/10/2025 is a 511 with sections scores of ********* CP/CARS/BB/PS). As a student who scored in the 96%ile for BB and 91%ile for CP, I am able to guide students to competitive scores in these sections.
Moreover, I’m a recent graduate from Berea College (Berea, KY), an aspiring MD/PhD student, and a researcher with hands-on experience in cancer biology, molecular signaling pathways, and translational medicine. I’ve worked in wet labs studying fibrosis and triple-negative breast cancer and will be working on independent work on the molecular evolution of p53 and DNA damage signaling. This background helps me break down complex topics and data analysis for signal transduction, enzyme kinetics, and cellular energetics into clear, digestible concepts, while also offering strategic insight into how the MCAT tests scientific reasoning—not just memorization.
