I am an experienced IB theatre teacher with over 3 years of teaching in a school setting and 5 years of tutoring students from Grades 1 to 5. My teaching practice is rooted in building a strong foundation in both academic and creative skills, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space for all learners.
As a drama educator, I focus not only on performance techniques but also on personal expression, collaboration, and creative thinking. I design lessons that allow students to explore real-world connections, cultural contexts, and interdisciplinary learning through the lens of theatre.
In line with IB philosophy, I emphasize Voice, Choice, and Ownership, giving students the opportunity to take charge of their learning process. This empowers them to become confident, reflective, and open-minded individuals. My approach is student-centered — I strive to be more of a mentor and a friend, supporting each child’s unique journey and encouraging them to explore their potential at their own pace.
Whether it is guiding a shy student to speak up, or helping a curious learner explore storytelling, I aim to make every session meaningful, joyful, and growth-oriented.
