My name is Simeon Chirunga, and I’m a passionate Computer Science educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, complemented by 15 years of industry expertise in IT.
I currently teach Computer Science at the high school level, where I’ve maintained a 100% pass rate while fostering student engagement through interactive lessons, coding projects, and mentorship. My students have excelled in competitions, even representing our province at national robotics events. Beyond teaching, I’ve worked as an IT Administrator, managing systems, providing technical support, and ensuring seamless operations—skills that enrich my classroom with real-world relevance.
Academically, I hold a BSc in Computer Science with Education from the University of Zimbabwe and am pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Development at BYU-Idaho to stay at the forefront of tech advancements. My toolkit includes Python, JavaScript, cloud computing, and problem-solving—all of which I integrate into dynamic, student-centered learning.
What drives me is empowering students to unlock their potential in tech. Whether through coding, mentorship, or immersive projects, I aim to make computer science accessible and inspiring
