Passionate and experienced Veena tutor dedicated to sharing the rich tradition and beautiful melodies of this classical Indian instrument. Trained under renowned gurus for over 15 years, I have experience of teaching Veena to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
My teaching methodology combines traditional techniques with modern pedagogical approaches to make learning engaging and effective. I focus on building a strong foundation in ragam, thalam, and kriti, while also encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop a deep appreciation for the art form.
I welcome students from absolute beginners to advanced learners. Whether you're just starting your musical journey or looking to refine your skills, I tailor lessons to individual learning paces and goals. Students will learn proper posture and fingering techniques, fundamental exercises (sarali varisai, janta varisai), alankaram, geetham, varnams, and a wide repertoire of kritis. I also incorporate music theory and the history of Carnatic music to provide a holistic learning experience.
My goal is to foster a joyful and encouraging learning environment where students can discover the beauty of Veena. I provide personalized attention, patiently guiding each student to unlock their potential and develop a lifelong love for music.
