I first check students ability to learn and solve the problems for first 2-3 days. If the student performs badly, I take them back to basics, build their basic foundational subject knowledge first and then build their higher knowledge and problem solving skill slowly to the top. Some students run away from learning maths and physics and for such students, I try to build their interest by teaching through practical examples rather than teaching through boring theoretical books. I try to make the theoretical answers very easy, short and precise so they don't struggle to learn and remember for the exams. At the end I try to keep them revising the old learn topics periodically so they don't forget it for the final exam.
