Meles Abebe Mengistu is an Ethiopian academic and educator with over a decade of experience in secondary and tertiary education. He currently serves as a lecturer at Dire Dawa University, where he has worked since 2015, teaching English language and literature and contributing to academic research, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

Meles began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Debre Birehan University in 2012. Motivated by a deep commitment to education and leadership, he went on to pursue further studies, obtaining a Master’s degree from Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Haramaya University.

From 2012 to 2015, Meles taught English at both high school and preparatory levels in the Benishangul-Gumuz Region, where he played a key role in advancing students' language proficiency and critical thinking skills. His experience in diverse educational settings has shaped his student-centered teaching philosophy and deepened his understanding of Ethiopia’s multilingual and multicultural educational context.

Known for his professionalism, dedication, and academic integrity, Meles Abebe Mengistu continues to contribute to higher education in Ethiopia through teaching, research, and community engagement. He is based in Addis Ababa and remains actively involved in educational development and academic leadership.
