I teach my students to solve so named frame problems. All exam problems are the variations of the frame problems, with changing parameters and and some additional conditions. For any topic of school math there are three or four frame problems. I advise my students to learn those problems by heart and they use to get between 80 and 95% for their tests and exams. My style of teaching is a dialog with a student. Before a lesson I prepare a file with theory and a set of problems which we discuss and solve together. At the end of the file I use to put homework problems with solutions.
