Hello! My name is Hannah, and I recently completed my third-year undergraduate degree in English and Psychology. During my final year, I had the privilege of being a student leader for first-year psychology students. I loved helping them break down course content and find the right study tools to excel in their assessments. Through my role as a Céim Leader, I gained valuable skills that will benefit my future studies and career. I was also honored to receive the Alive Volunteering award for my contributions.

In addition, during my fourth year of secondary school, I completed work experience in a primary school as a teacher's assistant. My job was to help the Head Teacher teach their students and ensure that the students could understand what they were being taught.

Outside of university, I’m an avid reader, particularly fond of fantasy, mystery, and historical genres. Creative writing is another passion of mine that I cherish deeply.

Experience

  • Student Leader (Oct, 2024–Mar, 2025) at Céim Team University of Galway
    I helped first-year students break down course content and supported them to identify the tools and study skills necessary to prepare for assessments throughout their university experience. Through being a Céim Leader, I abtained beneficial skills for my future study and career. For example, I enhanced my leadership and communication skills by displaying my competence in leading a group of people through an academic activity. In addition, I improved my problem-solving skills by diffusing minor issues before they turned into conflict. Furthermore I was awarded the Alive Volunteering award to commemorate my voluntary work.
  • Teacher's Assistant (Oct, 2019–Oct, 2019) at Briarhill National School
    I helped the Head Teacher teach their students, and ensured that the students understood what they were being taught. In addition, I monitored the students whilst they were on the playground, to ensure no got hurt.
