Teaching has always been my interest since I stated my education. I’ve always been a good student with good grade throughout my schooling with interest in science and technology.
I am a graduate of Physics electronics with PGDE in education (Upper Class Division). I am a registered member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
For the past 10 years, I've been applying my skills and experiences as the Physics, Basic Science and Technology teacher in different Junior and Senior Secondary Schools and colleges in Nigeria.
In addition to my wealth of teaching experience, I have excellent ability in connecting students to everyday applications of Physics, Mathematics, Basic Science and Basic Technology thereby enriching my teaching quality.
Personally, based on my huge positive experience of secondary and college education. I know I have the potential to inspire and encourage children of all abilities to reach their full potential.
It was the direct experience of working with children in a school that proved to me that my true personal interest, and consequently my career ambitions, lie in Junior and Senior secondary school teaching. I have a genuine passion for working with and for children, which really became apparent to me in my work with the children in Secondary school and college in Nigeria.
I am able to achieve a lot of success in teaching Physics, Basic technology, Basic Science and Junior Secondary School Mathematics based on student excellent results in both their internal and external examination. I have a great satisfaction of knowing that I am able to help and positively influence children both academically and personally.
My work experience allowed me to experience life in a college and Secondary School setting from a teacher's perspective. I enjoyed the way that every day is different and that each child is unique. This has given me a great insight into the work of Secondary school teachers, together with the challenges and situations they encounter. I have been able to provide extra support for individual pupils who are underachieving in their studies and encourage them to learn.
Outside the classroom my interests include reading, studying and singing. I also enjoy cooking and travelling, I believe that teaching is a profession which involves the whole personality of the teacher, and that the rewards are not just for the pupils. I am sure that the teacher’s role will help me to develop myself, both academically and personally.
The teacher has a privileged position, making an impact on a child’s life that will form that child, and stay with him or her through adulthood. I have every confidence that I have the necessary qualities to become a very successful Junior and Senior Secondary School Teacher.
