Hey there! I’m Sir Jon — a Licensed Professional Teacher by day, music enthusiast by heart, and your ultimate cheerleader in learning!
By some twist of fate (and probably caffeine), I ended up as your School Paper Adviser, helping future journalists craft headlines sharper than their pencils. I also rock out as the Acoustic Club Adviser, jamming with students who believe that music is life — and that missing a chord is part of the journey.
Learning with me is part classroom, part newsroom, part backstage pass. Expect a mix of wisdom, wit, and a few dad jokes here and there. 😄 Let’s turn mistakes into lessons, ideas into stories, and talents into standing ovations.
Ready to grow, laugh, and maybe write a hit song or two? Let’s make this school year one for the books — literally!
My teaching style is all about active learning, purposeful fun, and personal connection. I believe students learn best when they feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Over the years, I’ve helped young writers win campus journalism awards, student musicians build confidence and perform live, and even the quietest learners find their voice.
I don’t just teach for grades — I teach for growth. And if that makes me “the cool teacher,” well… I accept the title. 😉
