I believe that all children can learn but it depends on finding their learning style and formulating lessons to suit that particular style.
This is why tutoring is a passion for me. I am able to plan my lessons and deliver same in a way that is not possible in the regular classroom setting, but in a way that gets my student excited about learning.
One on one tutoring allows me to move at my student's pace so I can spend as little or as much time needed to ensure understanding.
Fear of a teacher inhibits learning so I always spend a little time getting to know my student, their likes and dreams, and allowing them to get to know me so that they can relax and be ready to learn and excel under my tutoring.
My greatest joy comes from taking a child from where they are and getting them to where they need to be.
