I am a passionate and committed educator with a strong academic and professional foundation. I completed my Advanced Level studies in the science stream, which laid the groundwork for my current academic journey. I am now in the final year of my Bachelor of Science degree at the Open University of Sri Lanka, where I specialize in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry. Alongside my science studies, I am also pursuing a Bachelor of Education in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language), as I believe in the power of language education to open doors and broaden horizons for young learners.
Teaching is more than a career for me,it is a calling. I have always believed that every child deserves quality education, and I strive to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth. As a determined and courageous individual, I began teaching while continuing my studies, and now I bring with me over one and a half years of hands-on teaching experience. This journey has not only strengthened my teaching skills but also helped me understand the unique needs of different learners. I am enthusiastic about helping students grasp complex concepts in science, maths,geography/environmental studies and English, and I take pride in being part of their learning journey.
