I have been an experienced biology tutor for over 6 years now. I studied medicine as a graduate degree and interestingly I felt more at ease tutoring my peers and high school students. I mostly offer my services online but occasionally teach at the site. My methods of teaching biology are simple. I explain the concepts to the prospective student, make sure he grasps the basics and then branch into the details. In doing so, I prepare him for the continuous assignments I provide every session and weekly and make a tracker for his grades to judge whether his performance improves or not. Biology is detail detail-oriented subject that requires significant memorization. That's why I'm of the philosophy that to master the subject we need to employ active recall and spaced repetition techniques using flashcards. Some people are visual learners and that's why I emphasize using one source for studying the material and continuously adding the details to it. I'm looking forward to our first session!
