Looking forward to get in touch with students who wish to improve upon their concepts and look at tutoring as a short term solution which would make them able to tackle problems on their own.

Students should be willing to unlearn whatever they have learned so far and understand that working step by step; showing the working ; reading and interpreting the problem; writing the units; explaining with the help of figures or models are critical in improving your understanding of maths.

Higher grade maths is basically applying the concepts learned upto Year 8 level.

Typically most students struggle with numeracy skills like factors, divisibility rules, decimals, fractions and percentages and are unable to see a pattern or predict an answer before actually working it out.

They are also weak in interpreting graphs of linear, exponential, quadratic functions and interpreting ogives and histograms.

I try to improve upon them and make sure these are very strong.
