I admire a slow learner who is patient - that is a reflection of my self. I could also teach fast if that is required :)
Curiousity is a good way to learn anything. A good teacher takes on mentor-role by asking the right questions to find out which is the best way to deliver solid learning for a student. For a certain difficulty a good teacher would ask a series of questions to a student e.g. what is hard and what is easy. Then the teacher could probably recommend taking a simpler course or doing a quick review/learning of supporting concepts before proceeding. Either way a solution is always provided so that a student has time to let the learning sink in.
