My name is Emma, and I`ve been teaching since 2012, starting out at an outdoor education centre in Scotland, and finally in ca classroom of a small rural school. I now live and work between two countries- South Africa, and Armenia, and since obtaining Armenian residency I`ve been working alongside an npo trying to bring people of different cultures together. Other than in Armenia, I offer online tuition, as many of my students are from distant countries. Although my qualifications are more towards teaching sciences, my journey in Armenia has brought me into contact with many people who are struggling with English, so I also found myself offering English language lessons for both children and adults.

I`ve been teaching Biology and Geography since 2012 mostly outdoors, before starting my classroom education in 2017. I teach all three sciences, although Biology is my first subject, and additionally I also teach Geography and English language.

I specialise in teaching secondary science, but I have students currently across all ages from 9 - adult. I also teach voluntarily for an NPO in South Africa, called Nhlanhla Tshabalala Foundation, where I work as operations manager as well as running an outreach literacy programme.

I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and seeing others develop and grow, meeting their own personal goals, no matter their backgrounds.

I met so many people wishing to improve their language skills, during my time in Armenia, I decided to register myself as a local company under Education, and in turn acquired a residence permit. Some of my teaching is face to face, but for those further afield, my online business has been very useful.

Fee details

    AMD4,000–5,000/hour (US$10.86–13.58/hour)

    The fees are set to reflect an equivalent to 10 GBP. This fee is always negotiable depending on the needs of each student.
