Hey, my name's Adiba :) I'm a master's graduate in Islamic jurisprudence and its foundations, with interests in how it links with & is related to psychiatric medicine & food sciences. Prior to university studies, I completed my education in English in Singapore.
I've completed my tertiary studies completely in Arabic, and had the privilege of working with faculty and teaching university students. I really enjoy teaching and helping students genuinely understand their lessons. Having struggled as a student myself due to language and culture barriers, I do empathise with fellow students who face similar challenges, and try my best to share what I've learnt.
I've personally tutored over 20 non-native Arabic speaking students, while also helping the rest of the native and non-native students in general settings, during my time as a teaching assistant...I had my mom moments as I watched my "brain children" score well in their courses & graduate alhamdulillah :)
My teaching style involves using clear and engaging ways to convey the content to my students, be it online or offline, with the goal of helping students understand and learn skills if possible - rather than just memorise & regurgitate information -, so they could continue to learn & apply things on their own thereafter.
I look forward to meeting students, be it online or offline :)
