I believe that before you engage into creating your style, one has to understand the demographics of the students you are going to teach, it’s not the same thing to teach 2–4 year old kids than to teach teenagers, although, and this is important, you can use the fundamentals to pretty much anyone.
That being said, you can take one of the three following routes, or better yet, take things from all three routes:
Traditional: Students listen to you as you explain. Plain and simple, the old reliable method of teaching
Conduct-ism: As you teach, you actively use conductual reinforcements to alter the previous behaviours and create new conducts, allowing the student to be more active
Constructivism: Letting the student create his/her knowledge. You will hand them the tools for the students to create a more deeper relationship with the topic, but first and foremost, the main goal (per say) is to create an autoregulated student. That means, he/she is actively analyzing his/her way of learning and also, the student searches for ways to improve it.
