I am a passionate and dedicated educator with an M.A. in Sanskrit (2021–23) and a B.Ed. in Sanskrit (2023–25). Although I am at the beginning of my formal teaching career, I bring with me over five years of valuable teaching experience from an informal coaching environment, where I guided students with dedication and care. Teaching, for me, is not just a profession but a responsibility to nurture minds, inspire curiosity, and make knowledge meaningful for every learner.
My teaching style is student-centered, interactive, and adaptive. I believe every learner is unique, and therefore my role as a teacher is not only to deliver knowledge but also to understand the needs, pace, and abilities of each student. I focus on simplifying concepts, breaking them down step by step, and connecting them with real-life contexts so that learning feels natural and relatable. While teaching Sanskrit, I often integrate storytelling, practical examples, and creative exercises that help students engage with the language rather than memorizing it mechanically. My goal is to create an environment where students feel confident, curious, and motivated to explore knowledge beyond textbooks.
In terms of methodology, I follow a blend of traditional and modern approaches. From the traditional perspective, I value discipline, structure, and deep understanding of texts, which are central to Sanskrit learning. From a modern standpoint, I incorporate interactive techniques such as group discussions, role-play, simple projects, and digital resources where possible. This balance helps me maintain respect for classical learning while making the subject accessible and enjoyable for today’s learners. I also emphasize regular assessments, feedback sessions, and doubt-clearing discussions to ensure that students truly understand the subject and progress consistently.
My teaching has consistently yielded positive results. Students under my guidance have shown improvement not only in their academic performance but also in their interest and confidence in Sanskrit. Many of them overcame initial difficulties with grammar and vocabulary and went on to perform well in exams. More importantly, I have witnessed students developing a genuine appreciation for the beauty and richness of the Sanskrit language, which I consider one of my greatest achievements as a teacher. I strongly believe that true results in teaching are not limited to marks alone, but also in the personal growth, critical thinking, and confidence a student gains.
What makes me a great teacher is not just my academic background, but my qualities as a mentor. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills allow me to connect with students of different learning levels. I am adaptable and willing to adjust my methods depending on the needs of the class. I see teaching as a continuous journey of learning—for myself as well as my students. I constantly reflect on my teaching practices and strive to improve them. My ability to simplify complex concepts, motivate learners, and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere are key strengths that set me apart.
Beyond subject knowledge, I believe in imparting values and life skills through teaching. Education, in my view, should prepare students not just for exams, but for life. Respect, discipline, curiosity, and creativity are values I encourage in the classroom. I see myself not only as a teacher of Sanskrit but also as a guide who supports students in building confidence, resilience, and a love for lifelong learning.
Looking ahead, my professional vision is to continue growing as an educator, contribute to innovative teaching methods, and bring more students closer to the beauty of Sanskrit. I also aspire to use my skills to contribute to the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit as a language of wisdom and culture, while making it relevant to modern learners.
