I Dr.P Kumar Babu who has completed B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (1987–1991), followed by an M.Tech. in Heat Power Engineering from JNTU College of Engineering, Anantapur, affiliated with JNTU Hyderabad (1991–1993). My doctoral research focused on Eco-friendly Hydrocarbon Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems, conducted at the esteemed PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, during its 25th convocation in November 2009.

With over 26 years of teaching experience in engineering colleges and 3 years of industrial experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, I have developed a strong foundation in both academic and practical aspects of Mechanical Engineering. My academic contributions include 81 publications in peer-reviewed international and national journals, and I have presented 28 technical papers at various conferences. I have also delivered 11 expert lectures at different institutions in my field.

Currently, I am guiding three Ph.D. scholars in the areas of Thermal Engineering and Total Quality Management. I also serve as the Chief Editor for two international journals—International Journal of Emerging Engineering Research and Technology (IJEERT) and International Journal of Mechanical and Computer Applications (IJMCA).

I hold professional memberships with ASME, ISTE, ISHRAE (Chennai Chapter), and am a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India (Tirupati Local Centre). Through these associations, I have organized numerous seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs on advanced Mechanical Engineering topics.

In recognition of my academic contributions, I received the "Outstanding Faculty" award from Venus International Foundation, Chennai (2015) and the "Acharya Excellence Academic Leadership" award in 2020 from SPNS Technologies and Novel Patent Services, Hyderabad.

In addition to teaching and research, I have significant academic administrative experience, having served for 16 years as Principal and Head of the Department. I have also held key roles in academic monitoring as Professor – Academic Affairs and managed institutional examination systems as Controller of Examinations.
