Hello, My name is Sakshi Sharma, and I am currently working as a project associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. I am a dedicated educator with a master's degree in medical physiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and a bachelor's degree in life sciences from the University of Delhi. Over the course of my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in physiology and neuroscience, which I enjoy sharing with students through clear explanations and interactive teaching.

I have six months of teaching experience, having conducted practical sessions in physiology for MBBS students. My teaching style emphasises conceptual clarity, real-life applications, and step-by-step learning to ensure students not only memorize but also truly understand the subject.

In addition to teaching, I have a strong research background. My master's thesis explored “The effects of Yoga Nidra on prefrontal cortical activity and perceived stress levels in young individuals with problematic social media use.” I am also involved in projects related to mindfulness-based interventions and binaural beats. These experiences have deepened my knowledge in cognitive neuroscience, stress physiology, HRV, EEG, and fNIRS.

I am passionate about both teaching and learning, and my goal is to help students build confidence in Physiology by making complex topics simple and engaging.

Experience

  • Project Associate (Oct, 2025Present) at Iit bombay
    At the Cognitive & Behavioural Neuroscience Lab (CBN Lab), IIT Bombay, I work on human neuroscience research involving EEG and behavioural tasks. My role includes designing and running PsychoPy experiments, collecting EEG data, preprocessing signals (N170, N2, P3, and frontal midline theta), and analysing questionnaires such as ADS, BIS/BAS, PANAS, PSS, and PSQI. I also contribute to data management, literature review, and interpretation of cognitive and emotional processing under various experimental conditions.
