Accomplished and dynamic academic with a Ph.D. in Science Education and over 15 years of experience in teaching, teacher education, and curriculum development across secondary and tertiary institutions. I have taught and developed Science Education modules for both Primary and Secondary school teacher trainees. At Mkoba Teachers College, I was specifically responsible for training pre-service teachers in Chemistry Education, Physical Sciences, General Science Education, Science and Technology Education, Research Methods, and Statistics.
At the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), I taught Physical Sciences and Science and Technology Education to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on indigenous knowledge integration and curriculum transformation. At Eduvos Private University, I have been lecturing undergraduate students in Chemistry, Quantitative Techniques in Biology, and Mathematics for Science, applying blended learning models and academic mentorship.
My role at Johannesburg Polytech Institute (JPI) involved both academic and support consultancy — teaching Physical Sciences and Life Sciences, and providing professional development for STEM educators. Prior to this, I served under the Ministry of Education in Zimbabwe for nearly a decade, teaching Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Combined Sciences at secondary level, with consistent success in preparing learners for national examinations.
I bring proven strengths in curriculum innovation, blended and online learning, inclusive pedagogy, and academic research, including postgraduate supervision. A published scholar, I am committed to academic excellence, institutional development, and mentoring the next generation of science educators and researchers.
