I basically focus on basics first rather than going straight forward to the problems.
I prefer Competitions with Learning, DHA(Daily Home Assignments), CBS (Concept Building Sheets), LWPS (Level Wise Problem Solving), One motivational class (per month), and many more.
Also, to get the best from the child is my only motto.
Learning is not doing good in exams but to implement that knowledge in real world scenerio.
Just start with the gist of what we are learning and we are good to go.
